when parking your bike make sure the kick stand is fully extended and locked in place or you may throw your rider!
New Tires
I looked at several different places for a back tire for my Goldwing. The prices range from $200 to $300. I finally found one at Cycle Gear on St. Charles Rock Road for $162.49! What a deal! That was not installed, but a super price. Need a tire? Hook up with Cycle Gear!

Before each trip either during or after pretrip inspcection, remember to ask God for His blessing on your bike and safety of travel
Breaking While Leaned Into A Curve
Try to avoid this, but sometimes it may necessary. You can brake (with both brakes) while leaned over, but you must do it gradually and with less force than if the bike is standing up straight. For maximum braking efficiency in an emergency stand the bike up straight; brake hard.
Rain Gear
Keep your rain gear in a handy spot. Make sure it fits good. Any loose fitting rain gear can make for hard shifting and braking.
Group Riding
While riding with a group, your focus should be riding as safely as possible. What you do or don’t do going down the highway can have a negative impact on everyone else. Be safe. Let us all arrive safely and rejoice that we made the right decisions.

Helmets
While shopping for helmets considered these tidbits. Make sure the helmet is comfortable. Since it will be protecting the most vaulable part of your body, make sure it is DOT and SNELL approved.
Raining Season
As the wintery days go away, some of us have the most awful urge to just ride. Even in the rain! So before going out wet weather make sure a check your tire pressure. Proper inflated tires make for a safer ride. Also good time to check tire tread.
